Paddy McGrath's visit with SAM - CrannógBuí National School

There was great excitement in our school  when our past pupil Paddy McGrath arrived with a very special visitor...   The Sam Maguire!
There were lots of parents there and we made a  guard of honour for Paddy.  Mrs.Smith tried to exchange our homemade Sam  for the real one but you coudn't pull the wool over Paddys' eyes!!
We  all had our photo taken with our special hero and got an autograph too.   Aine Boyles question "where do you see yourself in five years time?"  made us all roar with laughter when teacher said "she'd be a great  reporter for RTE."
We had lots of photgraphs taken with Paddy  and Sam singly, in groups and finally a large photo outside.
It will be one of those memories I will always cherish of my days in Crannóg Buí.
